BELFAST -Ricky Craven Motorsports North will host a Ricky Craven autograph session from 4-8 p.m., Monday, May 6, at the store’s 18 Searsport Ave. location.
The RCM North store, owned by Cravens older sister, Lauri Matheson, opened in September of 2000, offering a variety of Ricky Craven collectibles and various other items.
“I’m really revved-up for this opportunity to get back home and meet the fans that have supported me throughout my racing career,” Craven said.
Craven was recently named the True Value Person of the Year for the first quarter of 2002. Craven was cited for his contributions to charity through his annual snowmbile ride that raised $114,000 that benefits agencies such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Give Kids The World, Children’s Miracle Network, the Travis Roy Foundation and The Marrow Foundaction.
Craven also was the receipient of the National Motorsports Press Association’s Pocono Spirit Award and received an honorary certificate from the 25th annual PRIDE Conference’s Race Against Drugs Program after a day spent speaking to students at their conference.
