Meaningless number

Having read Mr. Perkins’ letter, in which he makes a number of assertions regarding smoking and, of course, “the children,” I’m wondering if and when he plans to respond to requests by at least two other letter writers to cite the sources for his assertions.

Perkins’ technique of making grand pronouncements without bothering to reveal the mysteries has all the earmarks of Grand Shamanism, not science.

If his sources are so reliable and solidly rooted in science, perhaps he could share them with the unenlightened masses out here.

To paraphrase, “Life is easy, indoctrination is hard.” Let’s get to it, Mr. Perkins. Information is power, and there are souls out there escaping your saving.
