UNITY – Scott Mulkern of Falmouth had an opening day to remember on Sunday as he held off several challengers to win the 102-lap PTM Kick Butts Racing Pro Stock feature at Unity Raceway. Mulkern took home the $3,000 prize for his first win in 11 years.

Mulkern started second and held off challenges from Scott Chubbuck of Wiscasset, Bub Raven of Winterport, and Dean Fuller of Albion en route to the checkered flag.

Fuller avoided early trouble and improved as the race went on, finishing second. Johnny Clark of Hallowell was third, while Pat Thibodeau of Winterport and Steve Nelson of Albion rounded out the top five.
