St. Joseph Healthcare of Bangor recently promoted Bill Jacobson, RN, BSN, MA, CNOR, to director of perioperative services. He moved to Maine in 1998 and joined St. Joseph Healthcare in June 1999 as a staff nurse. His previous experience includes working as an operating room nurse at a level-one trauma center in San Antonio, Texas. The perioperative services department includes pre-admission testing, the pre-operative area, operating rooms, post-ambulatory care unit and the pain clinic.
U.S. Cellular of Augusta has promoted Jim Holmes to New England director of sales. In this position, Holmes’ responsibilities will include leading a team of 200 associates and planning and directing all sales, customer service and agent relations for U.S. Cellular in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Holmes joined U.S. Cellular in 1991 as part of the manager-in-training program. Before his latest promotion he was the company’s district sales manager for Maine.
Kimberly S. Jamison has been promoted to officer at Peoples Heritage Bank. She will continue to oversee consumer and mortgage lending and operations at the 77 Exchange St. branch in Bangor. Jamison joined Peoples in 1988 and has 13 years in banking. She previously served as an assistant branch manager, a customer service representative and a head teller.
Ryan J. Sobol has been promoted to branch manager of Vector Marketing’s Bangor office. Kraft joined Vector two years ago as a sales representative and most recently was field sales manager.
Timothy N. Leach recently was appointed to the position of marine operations manager at Maine Maritime Academy in Castine. Leach will oversee all aspects of the college’s waterfront operations, including direct supervision of marine personnel and responsibility for the safe and efficient operations of all college vessels other than the T/S State of Maine. Leach has served as assistant waterfront services director in charge of the tug Pentagoet since 1983.
Mary Brooks has been promoted to director of sales by the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Bangor. She had been the hotel’s senior sales manager since November 2000. Working in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years, Brooks has held key sales positions at the Radisson Eastland Hotel in Portland, the Sheraton Tara in South Portland, and the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.
