Boys

Big School (Classes A-B)

Josh Young

The Bangor sophomore pitcher notched two complete-game victories against Old Town and Presque Isle in baseball action. He allowed 10 hits in 14 innings while striking out 17 and walking one.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Jason Thompson

Thompson, a freshman on the Washburn baseball team, led the Beavers to a 5-1 win over Wisdom last week when he pitched a one-hitter and struck out 17.

Girls

Big School (Classes A-B)

Lindsay Burlock

The Caribou High sophomore helped her team win a multi-team track and field meet Saturday when she won the 100 (14.1 seconds) and 200 (28.7) while finishing second in the triple jump (32 feet, 2 inches).

Small School (Classes C-D)

Shelby Howe

The Narraguagus of Harrington junior helped her team win a three-team track and field meet Friday when she won the 1600 (5 minutes, 56 seconds), 3200 (13:12) and placed second in the 400 (1:07).
