KINGFIELD – Carrabassett Valley Academy will hold a Parent’s Weekend Triathlon and a Night of Champions on Saturday May 18 and a Parents’ Weekend triathlon on Sunday, May 19.
The triathlon will start at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 19 with an 18-mile bike ride from the department of transportation station (Route 16) in Stratton to the town park in Rangeley, followed by a 3/4-mile run through Rangeley, and a half-mile canoe or kayak paddle on Rangeley Lake. The day will end with a barbecue and awards ceremony.
On Saturday, two-time silver medalist Bode Miller and Sugarloaf’s winter champions meet visitors, and take part in the night of champions celebration beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the anti-gravity recreation complex.
