David J. Smallwood has been named assistant vice president in the mortgage department at Peoples Heritage Bank in Bangor. He will continue to manage the residential mortgage loan department at the 77 Exchange St. branch. Smallwood joined Peoples in 1996 and has seven years of experience in banking.

David J. Smallwood has been named assistant vice president in the mortgage department at Peoples Heritage Bank in Bangor. He will continue to manage the residential mortgage loan department at the 77 Exchange St. branch. Smallwood joined Peoples in 1996 and has seven years of experience in banking. He previously served as a loan consultant and a senior loan officer.

Lori J. Shields has been promoted to vice president at Peoples Heritage Bank. She will continue to manage business development and sales at the Ellsworth banking center. Shields joined Peoples in 1998 and has 19 years of experience in banking. She previously served as an assistant vice president. In addition, she has held executive positions with a federal credit union in Maine. She received her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in business administration at Husson College in Bangor.

Cynthia Anderson has been promoted to retail lending officer at Bangor Savings Bank’s State Street branch in Bangor. Anderson began working at Bangor Savings as a temporary teller in 1982 and most recently was assistant manager at the Greenville branch.

Union Trust Co. has hired Charles F. Ault as business development officer for its Waldoboro and Camden offices. Ault began his career in the financial services industry 18 years ago, after receiving his master’s degree in finance from Golden Gate University in Oakland, Calif.

David Francis recently joined Imagistics International in Bangor as a territory manager, offering office equipment to the Bangor, Hampden and Hermon area. Imagistics International formerly was known as Pitney Bowes Office Systems and is located on 1723 Hammond St. in Hermon.
