Burgess claims Pro Stock feature Oakland driver prevails over Thibodeau, Turner at Unity Raceway

UNITY – Saturday night, Jeff Burgess of Oakland started on the pole and led the first three laps, lost the lead, then retook the lead and headed for the win in the Pro Stock division.

Pat Thibodeau of Winterport claimed second place and Freedom’s Randy Turner took third.

At Hermon Saturday night, Louie Mechalides of Tyngsboro, Mass., squeezed past Brewer’s Aaron St. Peter to win the Pro Stock feature.

The two dueled over the final three laps following a restart.

Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs finished third.

Wiscasset Raceway

At Wiscasset Sunday, Bob Studley Jr. of Sidney started on the pole of the Light A Demons and never looked back.

Union’s Mac Hannan Jr. was able to keep up with Studley early on, but would fade back. Hannan finished second and Kevin Douglas of Sidney took third.

Woolwich’s Mike Delano finished fourth and Brent Roy of Vassalboro was fifth, one lap down.
