CARIBOU – The Aroostook County grand jury has indicted two Caribou men who allegedly robbed a Fort Fairfield convenience store in April.

Timothy Frost, 18, and Richard A. Stahursky, 23, each were indicted last Friday on charges of burglary and theft of a firearm stemming from an April 16 burglary at a Caribou residence.

Two days later, shortly after 5 a.m. April 18, the pair allegedly entered the Irving Mainway store at 120 Main St. in Fort Fairfield armed with the handgun allegedly stolen in Caribou.

They allegedly locked the clerk in a back room before fleeing with $70 in cash and several cartons of cigarettes, police said. The clerk was not injured.

Aroostook County District Attorney Neale Adams said Monday that the investigation of the robbery is ongoing and further legal action in connection with that incident will be forthcoming.

Also indicted were three men who separately escaped from the custody of the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department over a three-day period, from April 8 to 11, while at or being transported from court.

Derek Condo, 24, of Caribou, Wayne Boulier, 21, of Fort Fairfield and Robert Fitzsimmons Jr., 19, each were indicted on a charge of escape. Condo also was indicted for burglary and receiving stolen property.

Condo reportedly fled at about 3 p.m. April 8 from the Aroostook County Courthouse in Caribou. He was apprehended several days later.

The same day, Boulier allegedly escaped from a Sheriff’s Department transport car on Route 1 in Blaine. After an hourlong search by state and county law enforcement officers, he was apprehended at an apartment in Mars Hill.

Fitzsimmons fled on April 11 from the courthouse in Caribou, but was apprehended within minutes by two Caribou police officers.

A Limestone man was indicted on drug-related charges. Shawn Ellis, 40, was indicted on two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and one count of criminal forfeiture.
