ASHLAND – Jeff Boutilier struck out seven and allowed two hits as the Southern Aroostook baseball team earned a 4-0 victory over Ashland Friday in high school action.
Jarred Grant led the Warriors of Dyer Brook with a single and RBI double. Zack Philibert and Evan McGary each had an RBI single. Southern Aroostook was the home team because of scheduling conflicts.
Bruce Oakes struck out nine batters through six innings for Ashland. Oakes and Jarred Jandreau each singled.

At Calais, Barrett Craven slammed a three-run homer in the fourth inning for Washington Academy. He also had a single.
Josh Ramsdell and Ryan Maker each had a pair of singles for the Raiders of East Machias.
James Macdonald hit a two-run home run in the third inning. Justin Donovan hit a single for Calais.

At Van Buren, Marc Garcia and Peter Gerard combined on a four-hitter, striking out 10, as the Owls beat the Crusaders.
Kevin Dube hit three singles with an RBI for Madawaska and Alex Daigle rapped a double and a single good for three RBIs.
Tyler Hews hit a solo home run for Van Buren and Matt Gagnon provided a run-scoring single.

At Sherman Station, five of the first six Panda batters singled as part of the seven-run first inning.
Nate Dow headed the first inning with a two-run single. Dow and Blair Emery each finished with a single, triple and three RBIs. Zac Currie added three singles and two RBIs for Lee and Jason Mallett singled with two RBIs.
Lance Cunningham and Chad Smith led the Cougars with two singles and an RBI each.

At St. Agatha, the Warriors scored in every inning while outlasting the Pioneers.
Corey Bourgoin hit a double and two singles to lead Fort Kent. Jesse Jalbert and Jacques Ouellette posted two singles each and Jon Pinnette smacked a solo home run.
Brad Thibeault hit a three-run homer and two singles to pace Wisdom. Andrew Gervais had a double and two singles, while Tyler Thibeault and Jason Bouchard each doubled and singled.

At Van Buren, Ashley Bouchard’s grand slam in the third inning paced the Owls as they topped the Crusaders.
Bouchard added a two RBIs double to give her five RBIs on the day. Meghan Marshall added a solo home run, a double, a single and two RBIs in the win. Kay Gerard had a triple, three singles and four RBIs for Madawaska.
Amy Vallaincourt led the Crusaders with a three-run home run in the first inning. She left in the second inning due to illness. Danielle Gagnon hit for a double, single and three RBIs and Nicole Corbin added two singles.

Lee takes two from Katahdin
At Sherman Station, Katie Harris pitched both ends of a doubleheader against the Cougars as the Pandas won the first game 9-6 and took the second 8-2.
In the first game, Deidra Ham doubled and tripled and Shelby Pickering hit two singles and drove in two runs. Krystle McMoarn hit for a single, double and an RBI in game for the Cougars and K.C. Duffy-Stanley had three singles. Brandi Violette singled twice.
In the second game, Ashley Linscott singled and doubled for Lee. Morgan Anderson led Katahdin with a double.

At Houlton, the Shiretowners rallied for six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, after trailing by five runs, to earn the win.
Kasey Cleary’s two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the sixth gave Houlton the tying- and the go-ahead runs. Nichole Botting and Alyssa Foster each added RBI singles in the inning.
Valerie Lenentine added four singles and two RBI and Anna Lenentine hit two triples, a single and drove in two RBIs. Emily Cole added two singles for Houlton.
Britney Guiou led the Tigers with a solo home run in the fifth inning, two singles and three RBIs. Sabrina Butler hit for two singles in the loss.

At Pittsfield, Megan Ferland hit a two-run double in the first inning and added a triple as the Huskies edged the Tigers.
Autumn Hendricks doubled and drove in a run for Maine Central Institute and Heidi Long singled twice and drove in a run. The MCI defense also threw out two Rockland runners at the plate.
Lindsey Grant led the Tigers with a double and a single. Caitlin Grant singled twice.

Greenville sweeps Windham Chr.
At Greenville, Darcie Larsen hit a solo home run to help the Lakers to a 24-12 win in the second game of a doubleheader. Greenville beat the Warriors 16-3 in the opener.
In the first game, Diane Aucoin hit three singles with two RBIs. Lauren Dallam had three hits with a RBI for Greenville.
Angie Buono hit a triple and a single with one RBI for Windham Christian.
In the second game, Crystal Ferris led the Lakers with three singles and a double with three RBIs. Dallam hit a pair of doubles and a single.
Randy Varney and Lisa Moesel each had a double and a single with one RBI for the Warriors.
