ORONO – University of Maine commencement exercises set for today have been moved indoors to the Harold Alfond Arena because of a forecast of poor weather.

Two ceremonies will be held. Graduates from the College of Business, Public Policy and Health; the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; and the Division of Lifelong Learning will attend a 10:30 a.m. ceremony. At 2:30 p.m., a ceremony will be held for those receiving degrees from the College of Education and Human Development; College of Engineering; and the College of Natural Sciences, Forestry and Agriculture.

Gov. Angus S. King will deliver the commencement address at both ceremonies. Nearly 1,700 people will receive degrees, and a total of 10,000 friends and family members are expected to attend.
