SCARBOROUGH – Jason Fowler of Scarborough rallied past Steve Carrier of Saco, and then held off Saco’s David Pinkham to win the NASCAR pro series event at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Sunday.
Fowler’s younger brother Mike Fowler won the NASCAR sports series race. It is believed to be the first time brothers have posted feature wins on the same day at Beech Ridge.
Pinkham took second place in the pro series race. Pee Wee Knight of Standish was third, Steve Berry of Gorham took fourth and Scarborough’s David Oliver finished fifth.

Unity, Wiscasset rained out
Rain washed out action at both Unity Raceway and Wiscasset Raceway Saturday.
At Unity Raceway, the 150-lap PASS race scheduled for Saturday will be held Saturday, June 1 with a rain date of June 2. Starting in June, Saturday races that are postponed because of weather will have a Sunday rain date with a 5 p.m. start time.
Time trials for the PASS race will begin at 4 p.m. and qualifying races start at 5:30 p.m. Regular racing will be held Saturday, May 25 with extra-distance feature races in all regular divisions and the first round of the DNK Select Used Cars Street Stock Triple Crown Series.
At Wiscasset Raceway, there is no new date for the 35-lap Bruce Kane Memorial pro stock race and a press release from the track said it is “doubtful” the race would be rescheduled. The weekly regular program will resume Saturday, May 25 at 6 p.m.
The PTM Kick Butts Coastal 200 will be held Sunday. Racing begins at 12 p.m., pro stock heat races will start at around 2 p.m. and the Coastal 200 is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start.
