Glenn Ross for sheriff

A primary race that I am carefully looking at is the Republican candidate to the general election for Penobscot County sheriff. In these troubled times, with the airwaves full of terrorist alerts, I cannot stop thinking about ways to protect my family and our Penobscot County communities.

The best way to protect ourselves is to be vigilant about our surroundings, be educated on how we can help to protect ourselves, and to have the very best law enforcement agencies working on our behalf. Community protection can be better achieved when federal, state, county and local law enforcement agencies effectively work together. For the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department to be effective in its mission to serve and protect the families of Penobscot County and to work with other law enforcement agencies to this end, a strong, dedicated and effective sheriff must be elected to lead this agency.

This leader is Glenn Ross. I have had the pleasure of knowing Glenn for several years and I admire his professionalism and dedication as a law enforcement officer. He is also an excellent manager and his communication skills are second to none. I have watched him guest lecture and captivate his students in advanced classes in the law enforcement program at Beal College. I am pleased that my students view him as a role model for what a dedicated law enforcement officer should be.

Please vote for Glenn Ross in the Republican primary on June 11. He has my vote.
