Jesse Speirs of Bangor fired a 76 and a 70 and then won a chipoff to take third place in the 14- to 15-year-old bracket of the Plantation Junior Tour’s final golf tournament of the year last weekend at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

Jesse Speirs of Bangor fired a 76 and a 70 and then won a chipoff to take third place in the 14- to 15-year-old bracket of the Plantation Junior Tour’s final golf tournament of the year last weekend at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

The top 40 players in each age division were invited to play the Palms and Magnolia courses.

Speirs also received an all-star award for being ranked the number two player in his age group and the Good Sportsmanship Award.

The PJT has a membership of approximately 1,300 junior golfers.
