ORONO – Delainie Farnham pitched a four-hitter and Danielle Clark had a triple, double, and four RBIs to lead the Nokomis Warriors to an 18-2 high school softball victory over the Orono Red Riots Wednesday.

Amy Paradis hit a three-run home run, singled, and knocked in four runs while Kaycea Grignon had two singles and two RBIs for the Warriors.

Molly Dupere tripled in a run and Chelsea Sherman doubled for the Red Riots.

At Houlton, Sarah Beasley smacked a grand slam and two singles and drove in five runs to pace the Shiretowners.

Anna Lenentine doubled, singled twice and knocked in four while Emily Cole rapped two singles and drove in two.

Kristina MacKenzie singled twice for Stearns of Millinocket.

Brook Courchaine paced Narraguagus with a triple, two singles and two RBIs. Jen Strout had a double and a single with one RBI and Elise Dublin singled twice and drove in two runs.

Karen Nelson hit a double and three RBIs for the Tigers. Cindy Koscielny had a double and a single.

At Guilford, Mindy Dyer hit three singles and drove in a run and Megan Russell struck out eight to earn the pitching win.

Russell also hit two singles and drove in a run. Erika Morrill had a single with two RBIs for Penquis of Milo.

Kirsten Lee helped preserve the Penquis lead by snagging a low line drive in the fifth inning.

Greta Korsman hit a double and a single with two RBIs for Piscataquis Community. Caterina Riitano had two singles with two RBIs. Ivy Galuski hit a double drove in a run.

At Searsport, the Vikings once again rode the strong right arm of TaraLee Webster, who fired a two-hit shutout, fanning 13 and walking only three.

Webster also contributed three singles for the winners. Sheila Wilbur had a double and a single.

Heather Niles singled for the Patriots. Kara Hartman struck out nine and walked four in the loss.

At Guilford, Kyle Jennings jolted a three-run home run and added an RBI single to pace the Pirates.

Ben Smith added two doubles, a single and four RBIs while Buddy Bates stroked two doubles and drove in a run. Josh Luellen singled in two runs and Darin Spack had an RBI single. Keith Dawson struck out eight and walked one in his five-inning stint.

Jordan Allen singled twice, doubled twice and knocked in a run for Penquis of Milo. Terry Joyce added a solo homer while Mike Grindle had an RBI triple.

At Orono, Bo Thomas and Ryan Levesque drilled back-to-back homers for the second straight day as the Riots cruised.

Jeff Miller belted two doubles and a triple and drove in five runs for the Red Riots. Derek Sinclair added two singles and Brandon Terrill limited Nokomis to just three hits in his first start of the year. Levesque followed Thomas’ two-run homer with his own blast.

Justin Nichols doubled and scored for the Warriors of Newport.

At Waldoboro, the Cougars of Farmington rallied for three runs in the seventh to tie the game and blew it open with a seven-run eighth.

Matt Karlson led off the seventh with a home run and Tim Shumway tied it three batters later with a two-run homer. Ryan Beisaw rapped four singles and a double for the Cougars while Derek Rollins doubled in the seventh and singled. Jason Shaw had two singles.

Jon Beardsley paced the Panthers with two doubles, a single and five RBIs. Mike Beardsley added a homer, two singles and four RBIs while Jamie Havener rapped three singles and Craig Jackson had a triple, a single and scored four runs.

Peter Moro doubled and singled while Brady Butler had two singles for the host Windjammers, who scored four of the seven earned runs Lemieux has allowed this season.

Kenton Spaulding roped a triple for the Mustangs of Thorndike. Howard Whitcomb had two singles.

Matt Sargent roped two doubles for Brewer.
