BREWER – Anne Piper was recognized for her service to the community as director of the St. Patrick’s Ecumenical Food Cupboard, during the Brewer City Council meeting on May 14.

On June 1, Piper will retire after 20 years of leadership. During that time, literally tons of food

have been distributed to thousands of individuals and families in need.

During her tenure, Piper has contributed approximately 10,000 hours of her time to serve the greater Brewer community through the food cupboard.

On behalf of the citizens of the city of Brewer, the City Council formally expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Piper for her outstanding community service.
