FORT KENT – Tyler Marquis dragged a bunt down the first-base line in the 11th inning to knock Matt Bouchard in from third to lead the Fort Kent Warriors to a 9-8 schoolboy baseball win over the Van Buren Crusaders Thursday.
Marquis also had two singles.
Nick Thibodeau hit a two-run home run in the first inning and three singles with four RBIs. Jacques Ouellette had two singles and a RBI for Fort Kent.
Stacy Ayotte hit a two-run homer in the tenth inning. Andy Martin hit a pair of doubles and Matt Gagnon had two singles for Van Buren.

At Houlton on Wednesday, the Shiretowners jumped out to a 5-0 lead after three innings and went on to the win over the Minutemen.
Jared Sylvia had four singles and three runs batted in to lead Houlton. Erik O’Connell, Ben Pierce, Derek Dow and Ryan Schools had two singles apiece for the Shiretowners.
Dave Michaud singled twice and drove in two runs for Stearns of Millinocket.

At Presque Isle, Jerry Shanahan earned the pitching win and socked a solo home run for the Vikings.

Fred Bird rapped two singles for Presque Isle and Matt Carvell drove in the lone run.

At Hodgdon Wednesday, Ashlee Bubar pitched a three-hitter and hit three singles to lead the Fort Fairfield Tigers past Hodgdon.
Brooke McCrum hit a fifth-inning home run, doubled, and drove in four runs for the Tigers. Sabrina Butler had three singles and a double while Brittany Guiou had three singles.
Heather Martin paced Hodgdon with a triple.

At Limestone, back-to-back home runs in the third inning by Amanda Fitzpatrick and Alicia Dwyer highlighted Hodgdon’s ninth win of the season.
Fitzpatrick also hit a double with three RBIs. Dwyer had a single, double, home run with four RBIs. Erin Foster hit two doubles and a two-run homer in the fifth to end with six RBIs. Sara Quint hit two singles and Shanna McGary hit a double and a single for Hodgdon.
Lindsey Beaulieu had a double and a single with one RBI for Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics. Jacinda St. Pierre hit three singles.

Madawaska sweeps Wisdom
At Madawska, the Owls piled up 38 runs in two games to earn a doubleheader sweep. Madawaska won the first game 22-5 and the second 16-1.
In the first game, Sarah Dufour hit a triple and a double while Kay Gerard hit three singles with four RBIs for Madawaska.
Christa Lizotte hit a triple for Wisdom.
In the second game, Gerard hit a double and a single and Ashley Bouchard had a single with two RBIs for the Owls. Kristine Cyr had a triple. Jenn Daigle hit a single with two RBIs.
Robyn Dument had a single to provide Wisdom’s only hit.
