LIMESTONE – Derek Patten and Eric Crook combined for four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning as the host Eagles came back from a two-run deficit to knock off Central Aroostook of Mars Hill 11-9 in baseball action Friday.

With two outs, Patten hit a two-run single and Eric Crook hit a two-run double. Crook finished with two singles, a double and three RBIs. Steve Hardwick added an RBI single and a double for Limestone/MSSM.

Adam Crew had three singles and an RBI for the Panthers of Mars Hill while Dan Codrey added two singles and three RBIs.

At Woodland, back-to-back home runs by James MacDonald and Joe Footer in the top of the sixth inning broke a 14-14 tie for the Blue Devils.

MacDonald hit a two-run shot and was followed by Footer’s solo homer. The home run was MacDonald’s second of the day. He hit a two-run shot in the third inning as well and was walked three times. Footer added two singles and four RBIs. He was walked twice, stole four bases, and scored four runs. Rick Price added two singles and an RBI in the win and Zack Gillespie hit for a single, a double and an RBI. The Blue Devils drew 22 walks in the game.

Justin McCoubrey led Woodland with a triple, two singles and three RBIs. Darren Ripley added a triple, a single and an RBI, and Adam Hunt had two singles.

At East Port, Narraguagus takes the win in eight innings. Kyle Tenney hit a double and a single. Gabe Checker had a two-run single for Narraguagus.

Ben Maloney hit four singles. Gerald Holmes hit a double and two singles with four RBIs. Teddy Cummings hit two singles with one RBI.

At Fort Fairfield, Kyle Larrabee paced the Panther of Mars Hill with a single and three RBIs as Dan Codrey pitched the complete game and allowed two runs on three hits.

Adam Crew had one RBI and three singles and Codrey added two singles and two RBI’s for Central Aroostook.

Aaron Kenneson got on base with two singles for Fort Fairfield. Shea Armstrong added an RBI single for the Tigers.

At Machias, Steven Colbeth held the Bulldog bats to two hits while he struck out five to lead the Raiders of East Machias to victory in the battle of cross town rivals.

Craven led Washington Academy’s bats with a solo homerun and a single in the win. Nick Reynolds added two singles and a double in the victory.

Nate Poore and Chris Cox each singled for Machias.

At Fort Kent, Travis Snell hit a grand slam in the fifth inning. Jerry Shanahan hit a lead off home run in the fifth for Caribou.

Corey Bourgoin hit a two-run homer in the third inning. Nick Thibodeau had a pair of doubles for Fort Kent.

At Rockland, Parker Tootill won a pitcher’s duel with Lincoln Academy’s Richie Powell as he struck out nine in a shutout victory while allowing three hits.

Powell allowed four hits, but walked two Rockland batters with the bases loaded in the second inning for the Tigers’ only two runs of the game. Casey Kenniston got on base with a double and scored a run to lead Rockland. John Bonney, Brian Toothaker and Mike Curtis each singles for the Tigers. Larry Baker scored a run as a pinch runner.

Patrick Howell, Mike Harrington and Eric Gimbel each singled for the Eagles of Newcastle.

At Machias, Tracy Guptill scattered seven hits, striking out three and walking three, and she scored what proved to be the winning run on an Amanda Thibodeau single in the sixth inning as Machias triumphed.

Guptill had singled in the two-run sixth and stolen second before Thibodeau singled her home. Thibodeau eventually scored on an error.

Guptill and Thibodeau each had two singles and an RBI. Stefi Almendinger had three singles and scored both Washington Academy runs.

Sabrina Butler hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Terri Lynch had a double and a single with two RBIs. Ashlee Bubar hit three singles for Fort Fairfield.

Angel Rideout hit a triple and a single with two RBIs. Gabrielle Smith had a triple. April Clockedile hit a pair of singles for Central Aroostook.

At East Port, Ashley Woodward had another great outing by striking out sixteen, hitting one batter, no walks, and allowed only one hit. She also hit two singles with three RBIs for Narraguagus.

Erica Mann hit a single with two RBIs. Missy Barbee had a single with one RBI for Narraguagus.

Samantha Davis had a single for Shead’s only hit.

At Fort Kent, Mindy Morneault’s three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth secured the win for the Warriors.

Morneault also had two singles. Nicole Saucier added two singles and an RBI and Ashley Desjardins had two base hits for Fort Kent. McKenzie Boucher contributed a two-run double in the win. Meaghan Minzy struck out three in seven innings of work. She also hit a two-run double in the bottom of the third.

Amy Bouchard led the Caribou batting corps with a two-run triple and a single. Michelle Snell got on base twice with a pair of doubles for the Vikings. Simone Willett struck out three batters in the loss.

Danny Kelly hit a single with one RBI. Lacey Farrar had a double. Kia Falkner hit a single with a RBI.

Ashley Brooker hit a triple and a double with one RBI. Melissa St. Pierre had a single and a double with two RBIs. Ashley Posey three singles with three RBIs. Lindsey Beaulieu hit a solo home run in the seventh inning for Limestone.

Alicia Rideout hit three singles and triple with three RBIs for Central Aroostook.

Jamie Doliber hit two doubles and two singles with three RBIs. Amanda Brown hit three singles a three RBIs. Emily Smith had a double and a single with two RBIs for Calais.

Beth Covey hit a single and knocked in Woodland’s only run in the fifth.

At Sherman Station, Katahdin’s Angie Qualey no-hit the Patriots for Cougars’ sixth win of the year.

Qualey, who did not notch a strikeout, allowed four walks and hit a batter in the win. Jayme Green had three singles and three RBIs for the Cougars of Sherman Station and Michelle Martin hit a two run single and had an RBI sacrifice bunt. K.C. Duffy Stanley added two singles.

Monique Veilleux knocked in a walked batter with a sacrifice fly in the second inning for Bangor Christian. Kara Hartman struck out four for the Patriots.

Madawaska sweeps Washburn

At Madawaska, the Owls swept a doubleheader against Washburn, 23-0 and 32-2, behind Kay Gerard’s eight RBIs.

Gerard had a triple, a single and seven RBIs in the first game and had two doubles, a single and one RBI in the second half of the doubleheader. Kristine Cyr combined for a triple, three singles and three RBIs in the two games. Meghan Marshall added a double, two singles and two RBI’s in game one and Ashley Bouchard got on base with a double and a single while driving in three runs.

Marian Dow had two singles in game one for Washburn and Casey Maynard added three singles in the second game of the day.
