PITTSFIELD – Somerset Plaza in Pittsfield has been sold to a group of Maine investors.

Apple Mountain, a limited liability company, purchased the shopping center from Morse and Co. of Bath, which had owned it since 1987.

Jane Morse would not reveal the selling price of the plaza, which is operating at full capacity.

Apple Mountain is represented by Ronald Bissonnette, a Lewiston attorney, who said this week that the group of company members intends to “continue the plaza operations as it is. It is running very well.”

He said the new owners mostly own apple and tree farms but also invest in real estate.

He said this is the only plaza the company owns, having recently sold a small plaza in North Conway, N.H.

He said the company also purchased a number of orchards in southern Maine and is leasing them out.

Morse said her tenants were notified Wednesday and Thursday regarding the sale.
