BANGOR – Jason Mallett and Josh Thompson hit back-to-back doubles that produced four runs as the Lee Academy Pandas scored six runs to take the lead for good in the sixth inning of their 19-14 schoolboy baseball victory over the Calais Blue Devils Saturday.

Jeremy Ham tripled, doubled, drove in three runs and stole three bases for Lee. Bruce Stevens had two doubles, Blair Emery tripled and singled, Nate Dow doubled and singled and Frank Severance doubled twice.

James MacDonald had a double, two singles and four RBIs and Joe Footer drove in a run with a double for Calais.

At Caribou, Griffin St. Peter pitched a no-hitter with three strikeouts and allowed just an unearned run to help lead the Vikings to the win.

Andrew Bouchard had two singles, an RBI and three stolen bases for Caribou while Travis Beaulieu added two singles and an RBI. Ryan Cousins chipped in with a double and a single.

Katahdin, Bangor Christian split

At Bangor, the Patriots rallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning before falling 6-5 in the first game of a doubleheader, but continued that offensive momentum in the second en route to an 18-8 win over Katahdin.

In the first game, Mark Martin smacked two doubles and drove in two runs for the Cougars of Sherman Station. Justin Stevens added a single, a double and two RBIs while Travis Robinson had a single and a double.

Matt Conley lashed a three-run homer and a single for Bangor Christian. Tyler Wilson tripled and Allen Easley doubled and drove in two.

In the second game, Chase Ossinger rapped two singles and drove in three runs and Anthony Cole added two singles and two RBIs for the Patriots. Ben Sobey and Easley contributed a single and a double apiece.

Justin Roy singled twice and drove in two for the Cougars while Robinson singled and doubled and Stevens singled twice.

At Madawaska, Peter Gerard pitched a no-hitter for the Owls, striking out 10 and walking only three.

Marc Garcia had two RBIs on a double a single while Greg Dionne hit an RBI triple and single. Ted McHenry added an RBI double while Gerard chipped in with a double and a single.

Todd Thibeault and Andrew Gervais combined to pitch five innings for Wisdom.

At Caribou, Krystal Roberts pounded out two home runs for five RBIs to help carry Ellsworth past the Vikings.

Tess Bickford and Sarah Silsby each hit two-run singles for the Eagles and Holly Tripp added two singles.

Michelle Snell had an RBI with a triple and a single for Caribou and Simone Willett contributed with an RBI single.

At Bangor, Jill Richards hit a double and two singles to help lead Bucksport to the win.

At Searsport, Shawna Bell hit a three-run home run in the first inning to aid Central’s win over Searsport. Bell also had a single, three walks, and four RBIs.

Jenny Rollins and Terri Underhill both hit two singles and had two RBIs for Central.

Lindsey Seekins hit two singles and Shiela Wilbur also had two singles for Searsport.

At Bangor, Morgan Anderson’s fifth-inning home run was just one of 13 hits by the Cougars in their win over the Patriots.

Jaymie Green had a triple, two doubles and drove in two runs while Anderson added a double, single and finished with two RBIs. K.C. Duffy-Stanley tripled, singled and drove in two runs and Meagan Libby singled twice and had an RBI for Katahdin of Sherman Station.

Heather Niles doubled, singled and drove in a run and Kayla Sherman and Danielle Miller had a pair of singles and an RBI apiece for Bangor Christian.
