DOVER-FOXCROFT – Two Dover-Foxcroft boys have earned the top honors at Foxcroft Academy.

Headmaster Bradley Ashley announced that Patrick H. Lizotte, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lizotte, is the valedictorian of the Class of 2002. Matthew W. Hackett Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Hackett Sr., is the salutatorian.

Lizotte was active in student council, Key Club, peer mediators and French club. He is a National Honor Society member and has been on the honor roll each year. Active all four years in soccer, Lizotte also participated in basketball and track. Lizotte will attend Colby College and study biology.

Hackett served as vice president of the National Honor Society, was president of the Spanish club, vice president of student council, and coordinator of the student council-sponsored blood drive. As a junior, Hackett was Boys State delegate and Foxcroft Academy’s Colby Book Award winner. He has been on the honor roll each year, was the Hugh O’Brien Youth Ambassador during his sophomore year, and has been on the football, basketball, tennis, soccer and track teams. Hackett will attend the University of Maine in Orono and study biology.
