High School

GUILFORD – Rosie Dawn Griffin, daughter of Jim and Jeanne Griffin of Sangerville, has been named valedictorian of the Piscataquis Community High School graduating Class of 2002.

Griffin is a member of the student council and the National Honor Society. She served as class secretary, a role she has held since the ninth grade. She was an exchange student in Moravia, Costa Rica, last summer, and is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French. She plans to attend the University of Maine and major in international affairs and political science.

Ivy Autumn Galuski, daughter of Ted and Marjorie Galuski of Guilford, is this year’s salutatorian. She plans to attend the University of Vermont and pursue a career in medicine.
