WATERVILLE – The Waterville Opera House is now accepting enrollment for three sessions of Missoula Children’s Theatre day camps for children ages 5 to 13 (must be going into first through eight grade). Session 1, producing “Hansel and Gretel,” runs July 29-Aug. 3, with two performances on Aug. 3. Session 2, producing “Little Red Riding Hood,” runs Aug. 5-10, with two performances on Aug. 10. Session 3, producing “Jack and the Beanstalk,” runs Aug. 12-17, with two performances on Aug. 17.
Daily sessions are from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Two Missoula Children’s Theatre directors conduct auditions, intensive rehearsals, workshops and direct students in finished performances for the public. Each production comes complete with professionally designed scenery, costumes, props, and makeup, as well as sound and lighting equipment. Participants will sing, dance and act.
The experience is not intended to create professional actors, but rather to create professional people by helping students develop self-confidence and discipline.
Tuition is $150 per person per session, and is childcare deductible. For registration materials or more information, call the Waterville Opera House at 873-7000.
