COLUMBIA – Officials still are looking for information after a theft on Route 1, police said.

A Columbia man had parked his 1989 Chevy van in a parking area on Route 1 in an attempt to sell the vehicle, but reported Wednesday evening that items from the vehicle had been stolen, Trooper Jeff Clark said Wednesday night.

Sometime between May 23 and May 26, two tires and two rims were stolen off the vehicle.

The chrome rims and Dunlop Qualifier GT tires were valued at $500, Clark said.

Anyone with information about the theft should call the Maine State Police at (800) 432-7381.
