The first session of ARTSHARE, a monthly meeting of the greater Bangor region arts community, will take place 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at the Bangor Public Library. Organized by the Bangor Region Arts and Cultural Council, the sessions will focus on the local art network, discussions and presentations about the arts, and public forums. The first meeting will feature Mark Torres, artistic director and founder of the Maine Shakespeare Festival, Susan Pierce, director of Bangor’s upcoming National Folk Festival, and book artist Walter Tisdale. Organizers plan to hold ARTSHARE each month. However, after the June 4 introductory event, ARTSHARE will take the summer off and start again on Sept. 10.
