Old Town High School
OLD TOWN – Old Town High School has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2002. Commencement exercises will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 7, in the MacKenzie Gymnasium at Old Town High School.
Kendall Tracewski, daughter of Cheryl and Kevin Tracewski of Old Town, has been named valedictorian for the Class of 2002. She will attend the University of Delaware to study fashion merchandising.
She was a member of the National Honor Society and Junior Engineering Technology Students. She was in the Key Club, French Club and was a captain of the field hockey and tennis teams. She received the Maine State Principals’ Award, her academic letter, and was named a Maine Scholar.
Mallory Brown, daughter of Edward and Faye Brown of Milford, has been named salutatorian for the Class of 2002. She will attend Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass., and will study health science.
She has received a citizenship award, a Maine Scholars Achievement Award, and her academic letter. She was a Dirigo Girls State delegate, a Big East Scholar Athlete, and a Maine McDonald’s Academic All-Star. She has been the Key Club secretary, a member of National Honor Society, French Club, Science Club, Junior Engineering Technology Students, and the band. She has played basketball and softball and has been captain of the soccer and tennis teams. She has been a volunteer basketball and soccer coach and an elementary school volunteer.
