DEXTER – The Dexter Regional High School Key Club has begun a Coins for Camp campaign to raise money for Sunshine Camp, a camp for critically ill children.

The club members recently received a $200 donation toward their $3,000 campaign goal from the Margaret Chase Smith Library in Skowhegan. The club was asked to make a presentation about its campaign to the library officials. Making that presentation was club president Jamie Padham, vice president Jamin Riddick, and club adviser Rick Whitney. While there, the students toured the museum, the Margaret Chase Smith home and the research library.

Whitney also spoke to the Dexter Sunrise Kiwanis Club earlier this month about the campaign, which will provide funds to send two children to camp this summer.

Anyone wishing more information about Camp Sunshine and the campaign or wishing to make a donation can contact Whitney at Dexter Regional High School at 924-5536.
