Residents of Senate District No. 11 have been exceptionally well-served for eight years by Sen. Susan Longley. She has been an intelligent, hard-working, accessible voice for us in Augusta. It is unfortunate for us that term limits will prevent her continued service in that role.

On the other hand, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to continue her effective service as our representative in Washington. Among an impressive group of talented and experienced Democrats running for Congress, Longley stands out by virtue of her dedication, innovation and hard work, especially in the area of health care.
