BUCKSPORT – Kelly White carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and was backed by 13 hits as the top-seeded No. 1 Bucksport Golden Bucks eliminated the No. 3 John Bapst Crusaders 9-2 in a regional crossover softball semifinal Saturday.

The Bucks advanced to Wednesday’s 3 p.m. championship game against Erskine Academy at Coffin Field in Brewer.

Kim Meagher beat out an infield single to open the seventh, spoiling the no-hit bid by White, who struck out 10 and walked two.

Jessica Taylor and Jill Richards stroked three singles each to pace Bucksport. Jana Richards tripled and singled, while Ashley McAllian singled twice.

Jill Mitchell also singled for third-seeded John Bapst of Bangor.

At South China, Katie Mainville pitched a five-inning shutout for the No. 2 Eagles, allowing only two hits, striking out 13 batters and walking none.

Linda Horak sent home four runners with two singles, a double and a triple while Callie Thomas had a single, a double and three RBIs. Jamie St. Amand chipped in with three singles and an RBI.

Kirsten Stevens and Megan Ferland each hit a single for No. 4 Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield.

At Calais, Katie Frost scattered four hits, struck out 10 and allowed only one run and one walk while hitting two singles to help lead No. 3 Calais to victory.

Lanna Martin hit two singles and had three RBIs for the Blue Devils while Amanda Brown chipped in with two singles.

Arielle Sickler led No. 5-seeded Calais with an RBI triple.

At Harrington, Ashley Woodward fired her fifth no-hitter of the season, striking out 16 and walking just one, to lead the No. 1 Knights past No. 3 Hodgdon.

Woodward also led the offense with two doubles, a single and three RBIs while Missy Barbee added a two-run double. Liz Grant, Heather Fitzpatrick and Brook Couchaine each hit an RBI single for Narraguagus.

Shanna McGary pitched the entire game for Hodgdon while Sara Quint reached on an error.

At Fort Fairfield, Sabrina Butler put herself in scoring position with a double and was driven in by a Maranda Butler single in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the No. 1 Tigers the win.

Maranda Butler also added a single and a double for three RBIs while Keely Sayers hit two singles and a triple for two RBIs.

Jody Pinkam led Jonesport-Beals with three singles while Monique Emerson and Sara Hunkle helped out with two singles and an RBI apiece.

At Lee, Jessie Keuster hit two singles to send in three runners and help give the top-seeded Pandas the edge they needed to defeat No. 2 Katahdin of Sherman Station.

Deidra Ham hit a double and a triple with two RBIs while Brittany Mallett helped out with two singles for the Pandas behind winner Katie Harris, who scattered six hits.

Krystle McMoarn was Katahdin’s only repeat hitter with two singles and an RBI.

At Augusta, Ray Vallee came on with the bases loaded in the sixth inning and induced a 1-2-3 double play, helping the top-seeded Rams hold off the No. 3 Indians.

Cony played errorless ball, while Old Town committed four errors. The Rams took the lead in the fifth when Andy Smith singled, stole second and third, and scored on Matt Pare’s single.

Smith led the Rams with a double, two singles and an RBI, while Brandon Cummings (RBI), Adam Vachon and Valley stroked two singles apiece.

Andy Pease paced the Indians with a double and three singles. Brian Tewhey doubled twice and knocked in two runs, while Shaun Tidwell and Ryan Brown each provided two singles and an RBI.

Old Town scored four in the first as the first six batters reached base, but the Rams turned a key double play.

At South Paris, the Vikings pounded out 15 hits behind Alan Batchelder, who fired a three-hitter, as No. 3 Oxford Hills advanced to the EM title game.

Batchelder aided his own cause with three singles and two RBIs. Jeffrey Austin socked a double and three singles, Tyler Bryant belted a three-run home run and a single and Tyler Cummings singled three times.

Pat Perrault’s two-run homer in the fourth accounted for fourth-seeded Skowhegan’s runs.

Scott Flannery scattered five hits to earn the win.
