PRESQUE ISLE – At the annual meeting of the Maine Mutual Group on May 15, financial results of 2001 were discussed and three directors were elected to a new three-year term on the board.

Elected to the board were Theodore B. Tornquist, board chairman; Hollis Irvine, board vice chairman; and Tom E. Gagnon. Currently serving on the board of directors are Larry M. Shaw of Presque Isle, John H. Cashwell III of Bangor, Samuel W. Collins of Caribou, Harold A. Dakin of Londonderry, N.H., Dawn Hill of Cape Neddick, George A. James of Mapleton, Michael D. MacPherson of Presque Isle, Lisa M. Ventriss of Burlington, Vt., and George Ellis of Scarborough serves as honorary director.

Maine Mutual Group is the mutual holding company for MMG Insurance Co. The main office is located at 44 Maysville St. in Presque Isle and a branch office is located in Concord, N.H.
