Bad weather has forced the postponement of eight baseball and softball regional championship games from Tuesday to Thursday.
The locations and times will remain the same for the four Eastern Maine baseball and softball games and four Western Maine baseball and softball matchups in Classes A and C.
In Eastern Maine baseball, the Class C game between Mattanawcook of Lincoln and George Stevens of Blue Hill will be played at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor with a 3 p.m. The Class A matchup of Cony of Augusta and Oxford Hills of South Paris will start at 7 p.m.
Eastern Maine softball, which will be played at Brewer’s Coffin Field will start Thursday at 3 p.m. with the Class A game between Oxford Hills and Leavitt of Turner. The Class C game between Calais and Narraguagus of Harrington is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
The Western Maine games at St. Joseph’s College in Standish will follow the same schedule. Class C baseball between Monmouth and Jay will start at 3 p.m. and the Class A game featuring Portland and Sanford will begin at 7 p.m.
Western Maine Class A softball between Biddeford and Lewiston has a 3 p.m. start and the Class C matchup of Sacopee of Hiram and St. Dominic of Lewiston will start at 7 p.m.
The Classes B and D games will be played Wednesday as scheduled.
