BANGOR – The Shop ‘n Save Golf Classic and auction to benefit United Way of Eastern Maine’s Read for Success Program scheduled for June 5 at Hermon Meadows Golf Club has been rescheduled for Wednesday June 26.

The tournament is an 18-hole, four-person scramble. The entry fee is $75 per person and includes a golf cart, giveaways, refreshments on the course and a premium steak and chicken barbecue lunch. The tournament is co-sponsored by the Bangor Daily News, Pepsi and Oakhurst Dairy.

The auction includes weekend packages for two, golf equipment, 100 gallons of fuel, jewelry and much more.

Anyone making a hole-in-one will win a GMC Jimmy courtesy of Varney’s GMC. Over $5,000 in additional awards and prizes will be given away.
