‘Sister Mary’ tells all at Ten Bucks Theatre

BREWER – Christopher Durang’s comedy, “Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You,” will be presented at the Ten Bucks Theatre at Brewer Middle School. Performances are set for 8 p.m. June 21, 22, 28 and 29 and 2 p.m. June 23 and 30.

The play takes the audience on a hilarious tour of the Catholic Catechism from the perspective of Sister Mary Ignatius, a nun whose behavior is more fascist than faithful, said play director Allen Adams.

Veteran Bangor actor Julie Arnold Lisnet stars in the title role for the third time in her career.

“It’ll be an irreverent evening, and not for the fainthearted,” said Bob Libbey, actor and founding member of the theater.

All performances take place at the Brewer Middle School Theatre on Somerset Street in Brewer. Tickets are $10 for adults

Performances are not recommended for youth under 12 years old. For ticket information, call 990-4940.
