Brewer beats Bangor in Bay League debut

BREWER – Aaron Largay drove in four runs with a triple and a single Thursday night to lead Brewer to a 13-3 victory over Bangor in the season-opener of the Bay Area League.

League games are played with the traditional wooden bats.

Pete Saunders singled and hit a solo home run for Brewer. James Strout hit three singles and a double, and Pat Estey singled twice and added two RBIs.

Darren Stover struck out seven in five innings to record the victory.

Richard Knowles doubled and singled for Bangor. Mark Reed hit an RBI single.
