The rosters are set. Now the only questions left to answer are A) Will the East make it four wins in its last five Maine High School Senior All-Star games? and B) Who will be named Maine’s Mr. Baseball for the 2002 season?

The second question is a bit closer to being answered now that four finalists have been announced. The two from Eastern Maine are Bucksport shortstop Jason Harvey and Cony of Augusta’s Sean Brawn while the west finalists are South Portland’s Greg Norton and Tip Fairchild from Monmouth Academy.

The winner of the Dr. John Winkin Award will be announced before the 11th annual all-star game, to be held Friday, June 21 at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Afterward, the east will try and post its fourth overall victory after seeing its three-year win streak snapped by the west in extra innings last year.

If Harvey wins the Winkin Award, it would mark a first as he and older brother Craig, who won the award in 2000, would be the first brothers to win the trophy.

He and Brawn head up a 23-member roster while Norton and Fairchild are two of 25 picked for the West team.
