ORONO – University of Maine sophomore righthander Mike Collar was selected to the America Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Northeast Region team, announced Thursday.
Collar, a graduate of Scarborough High School, finished the season with an 8-4 record with a 4.35 ERA over 82.2 innings in 15 appearances. He was second on the team with 70 strikeouts, and held opponents to a .246 batting average. UMaine finished the season at 40-17, winning the America East title and advancing to the NCAA Regionals in Los Angeles.
