Rain postpones all racing at Maine tracks

Rainy weather wiped out most, if not all, of Saturday’s racing action at local tracks.

Speedway 95 of Hermon Oxford Plains Speedway of Oxford, Wiscasset Raceway and Beech Ridge Speedway in Scarborough all cancelled or postponed their race cards.

Speedway 95 will make up Saturday’s schedule on Friday, June 21 at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the Pro All-Star series stops at the track with a 150-lap feature event. Qualifying starts at 5:30 p.m. with the regular races starting at 7 p.m. All divisions except limited sportsman will be racing in support of the PASS feature event.

Beech Ridge postponed its Saturday NASCAR Nite activities, which included the New Englands Legends Cars Tour, to Saturday, June 29.

The New England Dodge Dealers Late Model Stock 100 feature race along with the regularly-scheduled weekly race series was postponed a week. Saturday’s revamped schedule will include the LMS 100 and the action will start at 7 p.m.

No makeup date has been announced yet for Wiscasset Raceway’s rainout. The raceway will be active again Saturday, June 22 at 6 p.m. with regular racing action in all divisions. The main event will be a 25-lap feature event for the Flagpole Division.
