RALEIGH, N.C. – Mt. Blue of Farmington senior Adam Staier captured the mile racewalk title at the Adidas National Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 6 minutes, 14.40 seconds. His first 400 was 1:26.5, which is sub-six pace.

Fellow Mainers Mark Dennett of Winthrop and Aaron Whitten from Mt. Blue finished sixth and seventh, respectively. On the girls side, Jasmine Brooks from Dirigo of Dixfield captured fourth place in 7:44.73, and Emily Michaud of Caribou finished ninth in 8:42.41.
