STANDISH – Darlene Perry tripled and finished with four RBIs to lead the Leavitt of Turner softball team to a 15-1 victory and the Class A state championship over Biddeford Monday evening at St. Joseph’s College.

The Eastern Maine champion Hornets pounded out 14 hits, including three triples and three doubles. Sam St. Hilaire earned the pitching win, scattering five hits. She also hit three singles and drove in a run.

Amy Myrand and Kristian Healy tripled for Leavitt. Gretchen Conn, Laura Pratt and Aimee Trottier doubled.

Sarah St. Onge’s RBI single in the third inning plated the Tigers’ only run.
