LEVANT – Voters will take up 39 articles at the Levant town meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, June 24, at the Levant Elementary School. Voters will be asked to approve several ordinance revisions, to apply for a FIRE Act Grant application, to fund the purchase of a portable classroom to be leased to SAD 23, and to approve an $864,098 municipal budget.
The budget is $52,729 more than last year. Approval of the municipal budget, in combination with the SAD 23 assessment and the county assessment, is not expected to raise the mill rate. The estimated mill rate will be $16.30 – the same as the current year.
