Boys

Big School (Classes A-B)

Josh Withee

The Foxcroft Academy sophomore scattered seven hits and allowed two walks as the Ponies claimed the Eastern Maine Class B baseball title. Withee, who went 6-0 this year, also drew a walk and scored a run in the 4-2 victory.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Blair Emery

Lee Academy pitcher Emery gave up three hits, one earned run and eight walks while striking out seven to lift the Pandas to their first Eastern Maine Class D baseballl crown. The senior lefty also singled, drove in a run, scored twice and stole two bases.

Girls

Big School (Classes A-B)

Katie Mainville

Mainville, an Erskine senior, pitched a no-hitter with 21 strikeouts to power the Eagles to the Eastern Maine Class B softball title. She also fanned 17 while allowing four hits and two walks in a 10-inning, 1-0 loss in the state championship game.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Ashley Woodward

The Narraguagus High senior led the Knights to their first Eastern Maine and state Class C softball championships. In the two games she combined for 29 strikeouts while giving up one run, three hits and three walks. She also hit the winning RBI single in the regional final and was 4-for-9 in the two games.
