FARMINGDALE – Abby Spector of Waterville snapped the women’s course record at Kennebec Heights Golf Club with a 4-under-par 67 Monday during the Women’s Maine State Golf Association Metropolitan Tournament.
Spector, who plays out of Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro, led her team – which included Millie Hedberg and Sue Hunter of Penobscot Valley Country Club in Orono and Vi Kemp of Waterville Country Club in Oakland – to a best-ball score of 62 and a seven-stroke victory.
