Lincoln gets 2nd victory thanks to Flannery, Ham

LINCOLN – Jeremy Ham laced a double and two singles to push across five runs as the Lincoln Lumber prevailed 13-9 over Sebasticook in American Legion baseball action Tuesday.

Scott Flannery started a five-run first by belting a leadoff homer for the winners. He also had two singles. Tyler Gardner blasted a solo homer as well. Matt Malone stroked three singles and knocked in three runs.

Justin Veazie jolted a three-run homer to go with a solo blast, totaling four RBIs for the Red Storm. Jake LaSelle singled, doubled and knocked in three runs, and Ryan Kennedy added a double and single.

Trenton 19, Calais 6

At Calais, Blake Alley belted a two-run homer to go with a double and a single as the unbeaten Acadians rolled.

Chad Spencer laced a pair of singles for Trenton while Dustin Young singled and doubled.

James Ramsdell sparked the Suns with a two-run homer and a single. Joe Footer roped a double and a single and Jeff Dougherty singled twice.

At Dover-Foxcroft, James Gray delivered a single to center in the bottom of the fifth to drive in Adam Russell with the winning run.

Russell walked, advanced to second on a passed ball and to third on a walk to Jason Weymouth.

Gray also earned the win by scattering six hits and striking out four while hard-luck losing pitcher Matt Daye allowed only five hits while striking out five and walking two.

Ross Morrison chipped in with a two-run single for the winners.

Mike Lenentine paced Houlton with a double, single and RBI while Calers Palmer had two singles.

Waldo 7, Orono 3

At Orono, Chris Carman went 3-for-3 with two singles, a triple and an RBI as Waldo prevailed.

The game was played in Orono due to Waldo’s home field in Belfast being repaired.

Carman also struck out three and walked none on the mound for the winners. Nick Arthers had two singles and an RBI.

Bo Thomas cranked a solo homer to go with a single for Orono. Jeff Miller roped a triple, and Dusty Thomas added a double.
