FORT KENT – A program designed to help older drivers prevent traffic accidents and violations while maintaining mobility and independence will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 22 and 23 at Northern Maine Medical Center.
The 55-Alive/Mature Driving Program is provided in cooperation with AARP and will include topics such as the vehicle and self-assessment of hearing, vision, alcohol, medications and driving situations encountered under both normal and hazardous conditions.
Graduates of the program will be eligible for premium discounts in automobile insurance.
Those interested in taking the course should call Philip Belanger at 444-5072. There is a fee for registration, and participants must bring their driver’s licenses with them.
