BREWER – Police this week seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the Chamberlain Street home of a woman who days earlier allegedly sold OxyContin to undercover police officers.

April Umble, 22, is being charged with two counts of trafficking in a Schedule W drug, OxyContin, and additional charges are expected to be presented to a grand jury in light of Wednesday’s search of Umble’s home where the marijuana was discovered, said Brewer Detective Sgt. Perry Antone.

Investigators seized a quarter-pound of marijuana as well as pipes and other items used for ingesting drugs, he said.

Brewer police obtained a warrant to search Umble’s home after she twice allegedly sold OxyContin to undercover officers.

The same night, shortly before executing the warrant of Umble’s residence, Officer Peter Rancourt stopped a car for speeding that pulled into Umble’s driveway. Brewer police subsequently discovered knives, drug paraphernalia and a plate containing a substance that tested positive for cocaine, Antone said. An unidentified pill also was found and sent to the state laboratory for identification.

The car’s driver Allen Geiser, 35, of Dedham was charged with possession of a Schedule W drug, cocaine.

Antone said investigators believe Geiser and Umble are associated, but their connection wasn’t immediately clear.
