Richard, Morin lead Old Town

OLD TOWN – Sami Morin tripled, doubled, singled and knocked in four runs to lead Old Town to a 15-10 Little League softball victory Saturday in action from the District III all-star playoffs.

Devan Richard added 3 singles and two RBIs for Old Town, Alison Brown drove in two runs on two singles, and Kate Trembley singled twice.

Chelsea Paul paced Orono-Veazie with three singles and four RBIs. Tanna Jellison tripled, singled and had an RBI. Julie Normand hit two singles.

Hampden 19, Bangor East 2

At the Bangor High field, Michelle Wells threw a two-hitter with nine strikeouts as Hampden rolled to the win.

Amanda Palmer led Hampden with four singles and Wells chipped in with two.

Amy Hackett doubled for Bangor East.

Hermon 18, Holbrook 1

At Hermon, Ally Wharton and Amanda Page each smacked three singles to help power Hermon over Holbrook.

Kate Decoste contributed a double and a single for 1-0 Hermon. Lillian Barry and Allyssa Pelkey each hit two singles. Hannah Gray earned the win in the circle.

Sheila Toomey, Libby Nelson and Anna Burgess hit one single apiece for 0-1 Holbrook.
