BANGOR – Bangor International Airport announced this week that beginning July 2 all flights to and from Bangor on American Eagle Airlines will be flown on jet aircraft.

All service will be flown on Embraer 37-seat regional jets that can cruise up to 517 mph. Previous service had included turboprop planes.

“Attracting and growing high-quality modern jet service is a top priority of the Bangor City Council and our congressional delegation,” said Bangor Mayor Michael Crowley. “We’re delighted that American’s flights at Bangor International Airport have now been converted to jet.”
