STETSON – A 5-year-old boy was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor Thursday night after he fell into a campfire, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department.

The boy’s legs reportedly were burned when he fell into the fire at the Stetson Shores Campground about 9:30 p.m. Crews from Levant responded to an emergency call from the campground on Lakins Road.

No information was available on the boy’s condition late Thursday. Police did not know the boy’s name.
