BLUE HILL – An all-county reception for U.S. Rep. John Baldacci will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at the Blue Hill Farm Country Inn.

The reception will cap a day of campaigning in Hancock County. Former U.S. Sen. George J. Mitchell will be the guest of honor at a Campaign 2002 rally for the Hancock County Democratic Committee at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Atlantic Oakes by the Sea Hotel.

All proceeds from the event will go to the committee’s campaign efforts for 2nd Congressional District candidate Mike Michaud and candidates for state and county offices.

The Hancock County Democratic Committee will not hold its regular meeting in July but will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at the Ellsworth City Hall.
