ELLSWORTH – Jacob Lowell’s two-out single in the bottom of the seventh drove home Joe Cough with the winning run as Trenton edged Orono 3-2 Monday in American Legion action.

Lowell had two singles and a double while Chris Sargent doubled and singled and Mark Clapp had a triple for the Acadians.

Dustin Thomas doubled for the Twins.

At Calais, Joe Footer hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to lift the Suns past the Wildcats.

Scott MacDonald hit two doubles and a single for Calais. James MacDonald, Chris Dyer, and Brady Bourque each hit a pair of singles. James Ramsdell hit a single and a double.

Marcus Colby hit a solo home run in the seventh inning for Waldo. Pasco Grove doubled and singled and Ben Cowan hit two singles.

At Pittsfield, lefthander Aaron Rideout spaced eight hits and Nate Dow and Andy McLellan drove in two runs apiece to pace Lincoln’s win.

Rideout struck out four and walked three to collect the complete-game win.

Dow tripled and singled and McLellan singled twice as did Matt Malone.

Ryan Kennedy had a double, two singles and two RBIs for Sebasticook and Phil Hendricks collected three singles.

At Heddericg Field in Brewer, Eric Conway drove in two runs on a double and a single to power Bangor.

Jimmy Alexander chipped in with a two-run single for Bangor and Dan Hersey hit an RBI single.

Toby Cole led Blue Hill with a double, two singles and an RBI.
